In community presentations, when women are shown a video of a CBE as short as 2 minutes, only about one in five say that she has had a breast exam that is that thorough, i.e. that takes even 2 minutes. This means that only about 20 percent of women receive even a minimal CBE.

Please show the video of a one-minute CBE of one breast to five or more of your friends. The video may be downloaded from this website without charge for this use or any educational use as long as it is not resold and there is no charge for viewing the video.
After you have shown her the video, ask each friend if she has ever had a breast exam that covered as much of her breast and took as much time to complete — for just one breast.
If your friend has had such an exam, count her answer as a “Yes.” If she has not, count her answer as a “No.”
